Top 10 CMS for Your Business

Most business owners are not tech gurus who can customize the product on the code level.

They are looking for a simple solution that will get a professional looking site up and running as quickly as possible.

Fortunately, a lot of the CMS on the market today try to go the extra mile to make professionals comfortable managing their site.

With this in mind, let’s take a look at the top 10 CMS on the market today.

1. Sitecore CMS

Sitecore CMS is a great solution because it makes it easy for businesses to tailor their content for each individual visitor.

It tracks the browsing behavior of each visitor and when they come back the next, it will automatically display content that is similar to their previous sessions.

This also allows your marketing teams to get the most business value out of the content since it offers a very individualized user experience.

Sitecore is trusted by industry leading brands such as P&G, L’Oreal, Nestle Purina and many more to help them build longer lasting relationships with their customers.

2. WordPress

WordPress

WordPress has the largest market share than any other CMS on the market.

While WordPress is completely free to use you will still have to spend money on buying a custom domain and hosting.

Businesses of all types use WordPress because it is easy to get up and running, but eCommerce websites may require additional plugins.

However, if you are just starting out, it can be challenging to manage/ Still it won over a lot of business owners with its SEO and mobile oriented

3. Wix

wix

Wix is great if you have never managed a website before and you are looking for something super easy to allow you to manage it.

It is a popular choice among soo entrepreneurs who are looking for a high level of customization without having to hire a developer to do it.

Just like WordPress, it is great for your SEO initiatives and will work great on mobile devices. What you should watch out for is the cost.

While Wix offers several pricing plans, the plan with the most features will be very expensive costing as much as $500 a month.

4. Squarespace

Squarespace

Squarespace is a paid platform that offers a very simple to use drag and drop method of creating your site that does require installing it on the hosting server.

It is a much cheaper than Wix and other paid CMS platforms ranging from $20-40 a month.

The blogging functionality is not as developed as in WordPress and it will most certainly not provide you the business value that Sitecore CMS does.

However, it is a good platform that offers a standard package of services without having to spend a lot of money.

If you have some previous experience building a website, we would recommend using something more advanced, but if you are looking to gain some experience this is a good place to start.

5. Joomla!

Joomla

Joomla is often compared with WordPress since it is also open source and offers a wide array of plugins.

Having said this, it still has a lot of catching up to do with contenders like Sitecore and WordPress.

For starters, it is not user friendly for beginners and you will have a hard time just getting it up and running.

However, if you are alright with some initial difficulties or are willing to enlist external assistance, Joomla is a great solution for you.

6. Shopify

Shopify

As you can imagine, this platform is extremely powerful among ecommerce websites.

It comes with several pricing plans ranging from $29-$299 a month which includes things like hosting, security, SSL certificates and other things.

One of the biggest reasons why it is popular is because they have identified their target segment, they know what their wants and needs and cate towards this customer segment.

Therefore, if you are an eCommerce platform you can be absolutely confident knowing that this platform will suit all of your needs.

7. Drupal

Drupal

Drupal is a p-owerhouse solution that has more functionality than any open-source source solution out there.

The reason it is low on our list is because you will most likely have to hire a developer to help you get your site working. It will be problematic to change the way your site looks visually and updating any extensions.

Still, it can be of great use to you if your site has a lot of content and a sizeable database.

8. Blogger

Blogger

Blogger is owned by Google and is absolutely free to use. This would be a great choice if you are into blogging, but as a hobby.

It does not offer any of the advanced features offered by platforms like Sitecore CMS that help you convert website traffic into paying customers.

Even more so, it should not be used by eConmerce websites since it does not have all of the tools necessary to allow your customers to have a great shopping experience.

9. Prestashop

Prestashop cms

Prestashop is similar to Shopify because it geared towards eComerce businesses, but it is open source.

Having said this, they offer a paid plan of €24.90 a month that includes security and hosting.

It would be ideal for startups and medium-sized businesses who are looking to create a website that they can get create and manage themselves.

However, it does not offer enough customization features that would be suitable for large businesses with a wide service offering and looking to attract a large audience.

10. Bitrix24

Bitrix24

Most users are familiar with Bitrix from the 1990s when it was just a regular website builder. It has gradually evolved into a full-fledge collaboration tool and has been rebranded as Bitrix24.

Anyway, it offers both free of charge plans and paid subscriptions as well starting at $199 a month.

The paid plan will include a lot of the most popular features such as document management, collaboration tools, customer relation management and many others.

Having said this, it would be a good option for advanced users. If you have never built a website yourself, you will have a difficult time using it.

We hope this ranking was useful for you when deciding which platform to use when creating your website.

Whether you decide to go with Sitecore CMS or any other platform, be sure to pick the one that is the easiest for you to use and best matches your business goals.
